Air & Water Barrier
Air barriers and water-resistive barriers for commercial and multi-unit walls, including the transitions at windows, doors and penetrations.
An air and water barrier keeps air leakage and bulk water out of the wall assembly. Where the specified membrane also acts as the vapour control layer, we install it to that requirement.
The barrier only works if it is continuous. Most failures happen at transitions, so that is where we spend our attention: windows, parapets, penetrations and changes in substrate.
